Liberal Democrats and tories |
|
Does anyone know what the Liberal Democrats decided to form a government with the Tories instead of Labour? It seemed to me that the Liberal Democrats would have wanted to form a government with Labour. So, has anyone said what happened?

1. Firstly, the people drifted from the Labour to the Conservatives in response to their rule |

So what right does Labour have to rule (especially Brown)?
Secondly, if you believe the Ends justify the Means, then you go with whoever will give you the most concessions and power.

2. I heard the LibDems are kind of conservative on immigration |

Otherwise, maybe the LibDems will take some of the rougher edges off of the Conservatives.

3. Before Labor became like our own Lieberman.... |

Lib Dems were closer to the right than the socialist Labor Party. Now things are completely an ideological mess in each party. There are liberal, conservative factions in each, with a progressive minority in Labor.
