Intentionally lie every day never, ever issue a correction much less an apology.
I agree with your premise. I'm also glad that my news sources have the guts to admit that they made a mistake.

Think Progress did what responsible journalists are supposed to do when they make a factual error: issue a correction without couching that correction within some lame excuse or hiding it in some inaccessible spot.
News entities, whether they be print, broadcast or digital make mistakes. How they handle those mistakes is the true test of their mettle.
