Under Title 8, Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, “Any citizen of any country other than the United States who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers has committed a federal crime,” punishable by up to two years in prison.
It couldn’t be more clearly stated. Also, law enforcement officials have discovered that proven terrorists are among those sneaking in from Mexico, some as young as 15.
However, if the real issue is profiling, then those who are stopped and can prove their citizenship should be proud to be Americans and glad that the illegals (who may be taking their jobs, siphoning off their benefits, and perhaps even planning terror attacks) are being deported.
I get asked for proof every time I go to a bank, and I am extremely pleased that I do have to show an ID, and that the bank will only give my money back to me alone. It may seem annoying to some that an ID is required, but even so....even so.
so..having to show your id at the bank is the equivalent of being spanish, taking your family to the store, and being stopped by the police and having to show you are here legally? the gentlemen who wrote this is a resident of the very effluent town of longmeadow, mass. i am sure he has to show proof of citizenship all the time.

2. I've been going to the same bank for over 20 years, with many of the same |
|
tellers being there for a long time. They know me by sight.
BUT thanks to the PATRIOT (Big Brother) ACT, I have to show my ID to a person who has known me for years.
And people bitch about having to take their shoes off at the airport ...

3. Saying that proven terrorists are sneaking in begs proof |
|
Proven terrorists is a term I interpret as people who have already carried out terrorist acts. Meaning they've set car bombs off or done something to kill as many people as possible in urban areas. So if law officials are spotting 'proven terrorists' why are they getting into the country?

6. Our local paper has a "Sound Off" section where you can anonymously send |
|
in a comment. In yesterday's Sound Off the question had to do with illegal aliens and two people had the exact same wording in their right wing rant...EXACT. I loved that the paper published both of them.
These folks can't even rewrite the propaganda to even "sound" original...how dumb is that?
