The financial crisis has unveiled a new set of public villains—corrupt corporate capitalists who leveraged their connections in government for their own personal profit. During the Clinton and Bush administrations, many of these schemers were worshiped as geniuses, heroes or icons of American progress. But today we know these opportunists for what they are: Deregulatory hacks hellbent on making a profit at any cost. Without further ado, here are the 10 most corrupt capitalists in the U.S. economy.

1. quite a few are nested in Obama's administration -- what does that say about HIM?
Larry Summers, Goldman Sachs alumni -- still keeping the corrupt in positions of power -- is that the CHANGE We Can Believe In? Or just payback for getting him his job?

4. I was hoping Buffett made the list
because since the crash he's heard the wolf at his door and become nearly as bad as the rest of them.

Unfortunately, it will take mobs at the door for the government to do the right thing and rein these characters in (and jail the worst).

At the very least, doubling up a government job while sitting on the board of a company you're supposed to be regulating is a massive conflict of interest. The last administration didn't care. This administration needs to.
