AG Biden 'chomping at the bit' to leave hospital after stroke, wife says

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden is doing better after suffering a mild stroke Tuesday, according to his wife, Hallie Biden, who issued a statement this morning.

“Thank you so much for your prayers and well-wishes over the last couple of days,” Biden said. “As you all know by now, we made it!”

The 41-year-old attorney general initially was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital on Tuesday morning with a headache, numbness and paralysis. He was later transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital late that afternoon, where he was “fully alert, in stable condition” and had “full motor and speech skills,” according to Dr. Timothy Gardner, medical director of the Center for Heart and Vascular Health at Christiana Care Health System, who released a statement through the White House.

Beau Biden has remained hospitalized since. His wife said her husband will be “up and running at full speed,” adding he has been “incredibly strong and brave.”

Her statement was distributed by her husband’s Attorney General campaign:

2. I wish him well but after a stroke the hospital is the place to be .....
..... at least until everything is checked out and things are stable.

3. Especially since it seems to be something Hereditary
Joe has had a few mini-strokes mainly associated with the Brain Aneurysms. Could Beau have inherited the same issue?

4. I hope they've checked his heart for any holes that may have caused this stroke...
someone his age having a stroke is cause for concern that there is an underlying cause I would think.... He should be in the hospital until he is completely checked out and everything ruled out.

8. They transferred him from the first hospital where he was admitted to one in
PA that has state-of-the-art neurological diagnostics (I think that's how they phrased it) so I'm thinking they will be more than thorough and explore every avenue. Especially w/Joe's aneurism history.

5. I'm very relieved to hear this...
But leaving the hospital too soon after such an event is not a good idea...

He needs to learn how to take care of himself.

9. K&R! Glad to hear he's feeling so good, but I hope they ignore his request to be discharged
for a little while longer. Thanks for posting! :hi:
