Gail past away this week, tip a glass in honor of "America's Greatest Generation"

He stormed the beach at Normandy. 20 years ago when I worked at the Dodge Park Marina, I spent many hours upon hours listening to Gail. War stories and life. He kept me from being bored on weekdays when business was very slow. He often looked down on another regular that wasn't "in the action". He drove a truck on the redball express" . I haven't seen him in years. His legs could no longer storm a beach. I learned he was in a wheelchair. His spirit still could take that beach today. He often mentioned the value of war on the unjust. I just learned tonight he now belongs to the ages. He will be missed. Good night all. I'm out drinking to Gail and company.
