Sgt. Robert Ralston claimed that an assailant shot him, but because he told the
truth under a plea deal, no charges will be made. It was found that the Sgt. shot himself and not some black man. Now he will loose his job,and will have to pay for the investigation, but luckily he will not go to jail for shooting himself.


"The evidence never did match up. We have forensic evidence at the scene that did not match with the story," he said.
One example of inconsistent evidence was that the gunpowder residue found on Ralston's shirt matched the ammunition used by the police department, he said.
