Sestak's ad showing Specter saying: "I changed parties to get re-elected." Devastating
A reader wrote TPM about this ad which I found here. Not sure I'd call it negative campaigning (which is what the web site where I found it calls it) but if you're curious. It is pretty devastating.

2. Just like Joe Sestak changed his registration...
From Independent to Democrat - right after Rahm asked him to run for Congress. So like Specter, Joe changed his registration to get the job!

See, I don't care if you want to vote for Sestak, but at least have some factual basis for your decision.

5. Sestak worked in the Clinton White House.
Joe also served in President Clinton's White House as the Director for Defense Policy on the National Security Council. After 9/11, he was selected to serve as the first Director of "Deep Blue," the Navy's anti-terrorism unit where he worked to establish new strategies for the Navy to fight the Global War on Terror.

Also, Sestak was a flag officer in the Navy. Supposedly at that level they typically or traditionally remain as neutral as possible in politics.

In contrast, Specter has been a REPUBLICAN for decades, and voted for the extreme right wing Supreme Court Justices that now are on the bench. As well as DOMA. And he was vigorously opposing EFCA until he realized he could only keep his job if he at least pretended to be a Democrat.

Let's see, independent for decades as a military officer, + 5 years or so as a Democrat and voting as a Democrat; vs. Republican for decades + decades of voting as a Republican, with slightly over a year of being a Democrat.

Seems like an easy choice to me.

single bullet BS.

12. Sestak was serving in the Navy, which explains his non-partisan registration
Specter has been a slimy politician all of his life!

14. Sleestak, from "Land of the Lost"
They were the vaguely evil lizard people that Marshall, Will and Holly tangled with in the TV show back in the 70s, and I presume in the recent movie version.

this state will see the sequel to Santorum come this Fall.

16. It's not negative, just factual. Specter says it in his own words.

17. it's only negative when a democrat does it
if a republican does it, it's telling truth to power or the Christian thing to do, or "finally, someone is telling the truth in this election." When a democrat does it, it is "going negative". Ick.

18. This new ad is also tough. Check the colors in the chart - red for Specter, blue for Sestak.
