This Bunch (A Rant)

They were once known as Reagan Democrats and before that Nixon’s Silent Majority; and prior to that they were the original Red Baiters. This bunch that the mainstream media refers to as the “Tea Baggers” are nothing new. It’s just more conservative politics of I, Me and Mine. There sure as hell isn’t anything new here. A pig is a pig no matter how you dress it up.

This is the same bunch that foisted Bush II upon us resulting in the greatest recession, a near melt down of our financial system, a needless war, the loss of millions of jobs, the devastation of the middle class and the biggest give away to corporate interests and the wealthy in the history of our nation. Let’s not forget that the Bailouts took place in September 2008 (although this bunch tries to pretend that this did not take place under their boy Bush).

This is the same bunch that gave us Reagan and old man Bush and all that they wrought. The beginning of the dismantling of our government with the philosophy of “starve it to death”. Huge deficits (the likes of which we did not see until boy genius junior took the reigns), Corporate Raiders, junk bonds, S&L meltdown and the beginning of the dismantling of our manufacturing base…all to the benefit of the multi national corporations and the wealthy.

Prior to that this bunch gave us the paranoia and war mongering years of Nixon. (Who today, would be a middle of the road Democrat!) Nixon gave us Watergate and the tragedy of his failed presidency not to mention keeping Vietnam going years longer than it should have.

Yup, this bunch has given us a lot alright! Now, they want to give us a Boehner led House and more obstruction in the Senate. Let’s revisit 1992 and Gingrich!

The only thing sicker than their hate filled paranoia is their arrogance.
They cause all this death and destruction and still they rant and rave against any true change. After where their boy Bush led us, you’d think they would show some decency and just lay low and keep quiet for a while. Not, this bunch they keep screaming and threatening without even a trace of shame…too much arrogance to comprehend!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I sure as hell could do without this “bunch” and all the harm they bring to the common people…no matter what the hell they call themselves.
