Obama Scolds Oil Companies For 'Ridiculous Spectacle' During Hearings
In his speech today on the Gulf Coast oil spill, President Obama criticized the oil companies for their "ridiculous spectacle" during this week's congressional hearings, during which Obama said they were "falling over each other to point the finger of blame on somebody else."

Obama said that he "did not appreciate what I considered to be a ridiculous spectacle during the congressional hearings into this matter."

"It is pretty clear that the system failed," he said, "and it failed badly. For that, there's enough responsibility to go around. And all parties should be willing to accept it. That includes, by the way, the federal government."

Obama continued: "For too long, for a decade or more, there's been a cozy relationship between the oil companies and the federal agency that permits them to drill."

"I mean, it's not like Republicons are known for accepting reponsibility, or honesty, or honor. Get real. We we're just being TRUE to our Republicon Family Values. Sneer. Smirk."

3. What's interesting is the way FakeNews portrays this... their headline below
"Obama Says System 'Failed Badly' in Oil Spill, Calls Hearings 'Ridiculous ..."

Had I not already read the AP article and just saw the FixedNews headline I might not have know the truth. And it's unlikely they attemped to report the truth in their article.

BTW, I copied that from the Google News front page(no way would I send them traffic from clicking on their misleading headline). Honestly, I wish DU would ban using that right wing tabloid as a 'news" source.
