Apparently, Iraqi elections are just to gauge opinion. PM Maliki doesn't want to step down after losing an election. From the link:
"Sadr has previously opposed Maliki's quest to stay on as premier after a general election which he lost more than two months ago and several public statements delivered by his aides have been highly critical of the incumbent."

It started from the top, on our soil, before the US set foot there.

4. Perhaps Obama should sent Maliki a sternly-worded letter.
That should do it.

The OP is quite correct, it's not like we didn't suffer as a country and American families individually at the loss of thousands of our troops. Plus, the OBSCENE amounts of money we've just thrown at that shit hole of a corrupt country.

What a sickening, sad waste of life.

What an abuse of taxpayer trust. :(

5. No, they were wasted for other reasons.
Democracy was just a facade as a reason -- and has proved to be a facade in actuality.

6. I will repeat what I said hundreds of times prior to the Iraq invasion,
we did not have any valid security reason for attacking Iraq. That we did should be classified as a terrible war crime committed by the Bush Administration.

8. Perfectly in keeping with everything that pres shit-for-brains did during his tenure.
He is like the driver who causes accidents...and everyone around him gets hurt. He just drives away whistling a happy tune.
