Eyjafjallajokull: I'm back, mofos !!!!
London, England (CNN) -- Volcanic ash may force British airports to close again next week, the country's Department of Transport said Saturday.

If a volcano in Iceland continues to erupt at current levels and if current weather conditions prevail, air travel in Britain could be disrupted between Sunday and Tuesday.

"The government is carefully monitoring this situation, and the safety of passengers will remain our paramount concern," said Transport Secretary Philip Hammond.

The department said predictions remain fluid, urging passengers to check with airlines before taking any action.

British Airways said it would notify passengers of potential disruptions on its website. ..........(more)

1. Sometimes all I need is a quick nap, maybe some OJ, and I'm ready to erupt again.

seems the earth is getting turned inside out.

Maybe the old girl is getting tired of our antics and just wants to shake us off like a bad cold.

8. I'd say we are more like ticks.

Fleas are too easy to kill compared to ticks. We are more like ticks; nasty fuckers that attach, won't let go, won't die, pull the skin out a mile and a half when someone pulls us off, leave a mark that hurts like hell, then leave freaking diseases behind. Yup, that would be us...and ticks.

7. And this joins up with the upcoming British Airways cabin staff strikes
Does it count as a strike if the planes aren't flying anyway? Or if the ash clouds interleave with the strikes, will British Airways planes ever move anywhere?

Renewed concerns about the spread of volcanic ash came as the government said it would intervene in the BA dispute in a bid to avert a series of strikes by cabin crew. Members of Unite are due to strike from from Tuesday to Saturday, and then from 24-28 May, 30 May-3 June and 5-9 June. The last strike would end two days before the start of the World Cup in South Africa.
