Mitch McConnell on Sunday's Meet The Press was asked if the GOP would give Obama credit for the beginning of the economic recovery, and especially if the recovery continues and deepens over the next months approaching the general election. McConnell stated there was no recovery, the Obama administration had destroyed jobs, the recovery act was not working and in fact had increased job loss and that the only new jobs created were make work jobs "in Washington DC" that were added to the heavy tax burden and will be paid out of the income of our grandchildren.

He also wants to LIMIT BP's liability for the oil spill, which he blames on Obama - link;

I guess the Republicans don't like reality so they just make their own....no facts desired, thanks - we REALLY know the truth...

I am more and more interested in the Primary Tuesday and the GE in November - I believe more strongly every day the GOP will have its bubble popped very strongly, from the right as well as the left.

Dream on, Mitch - enjoy it while you still can.

3. Depends who's listening -- and who shows up at the polls . . .
Those of us who are bitterly disappointed at Obama's mildness and lack of genuine reform still need to get our butts to the polling station.

The message is: if the teabaggers win, we're fucked. By which I mean the GOPers lurch even righter to try to keep ahold of the 'baggers and *still* make massive gains in the House and Senate. Hopefully, that dire prospect will be a motivator, even for those of us who hoped for lots more from the man.

And from the Dems in general, of course. In Obama's defense, you can only work with the clay you're given.

Maybe he needs to be looking for better clay.

5. I agree - to put it more crudely (an old Army expression)
you can't make chicken salad with chicken shit.

Obama is up to his elbows in chicken shit, trying to make that salad....
