Why dont Republicans attack National Geographic and the Journal of Nature?
Edited on Sun May-06-07 09:49 PM by Quixote1818
These are two of the most highly regarded Scientific publications around and they basically say the same thing about Global Warming as An Inconvenient Truth does. Yet, you never hear Glen Beck or any of the ass holes on the far right attack anyone or anything but Gore on this issue.

It obviously drives the conservatives nuts that Al Gore is so smart and a leader on this. Beck is afraid to go after National Geographic but by attacking Gore he is basically attacking them too. If Gore hadn't been star of this award winning movie they would probably be on board with Global Warming. All this is about is their hate for Al Gore, period!

5. ROFLMAO
But you are probably correct.
They can call National Geographic an educational mag and still have it to get off with while happy knowing they deprived others of their right to freedom of the press.

3. I don't think they ever will go after Nat. Geographic and Nature
Attacking Nat. Geographic and Nature doesn't get the base riled up. If they attack Nat. Geographic then that give Gore's ideas more credence.

They need someone to hate. This isn't about what they believe as much as it's about hating Al Gore.

6. If it will get people pissed off at the pukes, lets lead them to it.
The more stuff they attack, the more reactionary they look.

9. I was looking at Sky & Telescope the other day.
I read letters to the editors about an article they apparently had that mentioned God, I presume published out of fundie-pandering. All four letters were condemnatory and said God had no place being discussed in a science publication.

10. There's this guy->
National Geographic Promotes Global Warming Myths

"I was disappointed to see the great magazine of my youth compromise its reputation recently by taking an obviously politically motivated position on the issue of global warming. For me this fall from grace was tantamount to the time long ago when I learned the truth about Santa Claus."
