An Innocent Child's Death is an Accident.....

Family: 7-year-old shot by police was asleep
Officer's gun went off during search for homicide suspect in Detroit building

DETROIT - Seven-year-old Aiyana Jones was asleep on the living room sofa in her family's apartment when Detroit police searching for a homicide suspect burst in and an officer's gun went off, fatally striking the girl in the neck, family members say.

I honestly believe something needs to be done about the number of "accidents", overly rough arrests, and tasing outrages. I'm not sure whether it just entails more intense training, specifically in the area of interactions with the general public and appropriate use of violent restraint, or if it is a more systemic problem.

I know over my lifetime, even the past ten years, I have witnessed a significant increase in unwarranted violent outcomes during police interactions.

2. These raids are more severe in their approach
than the military uses in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Welcome to Occupied America.

6. You tell me
If the US Army did this in a village in Iraq, would you be outraged by it?

7. I just don't buy it, the cop LET the woman grab his hands
and then...by accident...the girl gets shot in the head and neck? No way. One of those guys was high on adrenaline and they shot that girl because she surprised them (real life pop up target test failure). No warrant means all bets are off imo.

8. Seems like we'll find out soon.
Once the video is released.
