What is the value of the content of your character when there are so many other strikes against you?

You might be a smart, sweet natured, caring and law abiding citizen and all, but if you answer yes to any of these questions, then your character is the least of your problems in this country.


Do you live in a poor neighborhood? - Then you must be lazy and comfortable with the criminal element.

Do you speak English, even perfectly, but with some kind of non American accent? - Then you're suspect and not trusted to teach school children in Arizona.

Are you not sufficiently descended from Nordic European stock? - Learn to embrace the hyphen.

Have you fully paid your debt to society? - You're fooling yourself, if you think that you really have.

So, you're not working yourself to death as a wage slave, right? - You must be a leech on society.

Have you questioned the God-given fact that America is the greatest country on the face of the Earth? - Then you must hate America.

How about your sexuality... Is it somehow "different"? - You must be some kind of "deviated pre-vert".

What if you're not sufficiently churched? - Then you must be an amoral/immoral sinner who is bound to burn in Hell.

You've got a doctor's prescription for your medical marijuana? - It doesn't matter, because drug warriors still want to slam you behind bars.

Do you dare to question the ownership that the corporations have over your life? - A commie like you doesn't deserve to live.

Do you think that a woman deserves to have control over her own body? - Then NO fetus is safe around you.



If you can't afford to keep everyone else from noticing whenever you find yourself outside of the box, you can always expect your character to come into question.
