After careful reflection on the right-wingers and their ideas, I have concluded that rational fact-based discussion will not bring them around to my views. They simply don't think the way I do, and they're not ever likely to change the way they think. So instead of arguing with them, I have decided to adopt their way of thinking: the only way, to carry on a discussion with them, is to agree with them. I know it's difficult, going that extra mile, but I'm sure it will be worth it!
On Obama's citizenship: I'm tired of liberals trying to confuse everybody with a phony debate about whether Obama was born in Kenya or in Indonesia. Private investigators have proved that he was born in both places. If he was born in Kenya and Indonesia, he can't be President. So what is the point of the debate?
On creationism: Liberals like to point out that creationist Kent Hovind is in federal prison. Is that really a bad thing? Yeah, he was convicted of tax fraud, but Hovind has obviously gone to jail for something he believes in, and that makes him a martyr. I really think this would be a better country if more creationists went to jail for standing up for their beliefs, whether they believe in tax fraud or pedophilia or whatever
On BP's latest oil spill: Sitting in my car yesterday at my drive-thru church, I heard a great sermon from the guest pastor. After the service, I thought about it while driving across town to the Taco Hut drive-thru. When I got there, I realized I didn't have any money, so I thought about it some more while driving back across town to the drive-thru ATM, and then I thought about it some more while while driving back to the Taco Hut. Then when I got home, I had a headache, and I realized that we all sat in our cars with our engines running in that big hot parking lot for nearly two hours because we all needed our air conditioners. So next week I'm going to roll up my windows at church so I don't get a headache from all the exhaust fumes. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the liberals are all upset that the Gulf of Mexico will become a big oily dead zone. But I don't see how that could hurt the tourist industry, because can't the tourists just go to Disneyland or Six Flags or Busch Gardens if they don't want to go the Gulf any more?
