Lt. Gov. Bill Halter is running against incumbent Blanche Lincoln in the Primary.

Tucson City Councilman Rodney Glassman, is the likely Democratic nominee for Senate. He polls extremely competively with Victory Hayworth, who could take out McCain in the Republican Primary.

Dr. Amerish "Ami" Bera, a physician, is running against Republican Dan Lundgren in the 3rd. district.

Marcy Winograd, is a progressive activist running against "blue-dog" Jane Harman in the 36th. district.

Bill Hedrick is running for Congress in the 44th. district and came within 2% of winning in 2008.

Andrew Romanoff is the former Colorado House Majority Leader, who has bucked the establishment and even the President to run a primary against incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet. Bennet voted against the cram-down amendment as part of the foreclosure legislation, and despite authoring the letter on the public option, only tepidly endorsed it and when presented with the opportunity did not offer it as an amendment.

State Senator Craig Pridemore is running for the 3rd. Congressional district. Blue America Pac quotes him: "After having know him for about two days, he confided in me that "the conventional wisdom up here is that a Democrat can't win if he/she stands for Democratic values. I am absolutely committed to changing that perception and to make WA-03 a reliable, progressive seat in the future."

2. The list can't be THAT updated...
Ginny Brown-Waite withdrew several weeks ago, and hand-picked her replacement... some local sheriff, IIRC.

4. MI's 8th District - Kande Ngalamulume vs Repub Mike Rogers
In a district won by Barack Obama in November 2008, I believe Kande can overcome negativity about a Democratic nominee's chances at winning against Rogers. Kande came here from the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a kid, and graduated from Michigan State University. He recently said that if elected, one of the first things he would do is push to move the health insurance exchanged up from 2014 to start in 2012. I have met him personally, and he is a great guy and a candidate who deserves all the support in the world.
