The closer we get to November the less it looks like a Democratic Loss
The Republican Party is quickly becoming irrelevant, the Tea-baggers have gone home, adults have finally stood up and pushed aside the obstructionists in Congress. Jobs are coming back and summer holds the promise of visible economic recovery. Though the next Congress may see a change in Democratic Leadership in the Senate we will still retain control of that chamber and Nancy Pelosi will continue as a strong and effective Leader in the House. The President, no matter if you and I are completely satisfied with his leanings so far, is a popular man with a public persona of an intelligent man who makes rational decisions based on fact. That may be overlooked by bigots, but there are more of us than there are of them. So with this as a backdrop every passing day works to our advantage. Don't fear November, we're going to do just fine.

2. Not a big loss
Large majorities are always hard to hold. It often has as much to do with the minorites as the majorities. But I never really thought we'd lose the House, nor really the Senate. We might lose some seats. Worst case scenario so far would seem to be a "functional" loss of the House, with too many conservative dems willing to side with the GOP on particular issues.

And if the tea baggers are a bit TOO successful in the primaries, we could see some real doozies come the fall. Could make the democrats job a whole lot easier.

3. I believe your correct , I've felt this way for some time...but
I am not satisfied that the rethugs won't do what they did to Kerry..I can see massive voter fraud. Especially here in TN...We already held a primary vote, and there were big problems...Plus we were supose the get new machines with a paper trail and the Rethugs stopped that from happening even though it was aproved, the Gov. signed the bill, and we had the money to pay for them....

5. You forget about the media
Even if democrats hold on to EVERY SINGLE seat in the house and senate, the media would be blaring it as a democratic loss since they didn't pick up any new seats.
