REAGAN MYTHS
Fiscal Conservative Blarney baloney Rhetoric not fact

8 years As Governor and increased state Revenues by most in history.
Taxed everything but BJ in Hollwood. Nancy objected. Her hobby.

Carter gave him a 600B Budget. Increased it by 80%
Carter gave him less than 1000B of Debt. Increased it by 183%.

Submitted 8 budgets for over 7000B.
Govt spent 6066B in prior 50 years-1930 to 1980
More in 8 than prior 50? Conservative?

King of Spend and Borrow till Bush II.

Cut Carter record of 218,000 net new jobs per month to 175,000.

You are no conservative to increase spending by 80% and Debt by 183%

137 members of administration investigated and record number found guilty

Involved us in 4 conflicts

There is not one fiscal fact except stock market increase to rate Reagan as above average..

2. I think that all the Reagan stats...
don't mean much... certainly not to the True Believers.

What he did was far worse. He popularized the "borrow and spend" Reaganomics that is killing this country. He put a smiley, friendly face on screwing the poor, the working person, minorities, and foreign intervention. 'Murika responded like the selfish bastards they are.... even if they screwed themselves.

The election of 1980 was a turning point in US History much like the firing on Ft. Sumpter or the explosion of the battleship Maine. It started - or accelerated - our race to Third World status.

4. You know what I like about Wikipedia?
It's got a massive, thorough article on the fall of the Berlin Wall.

And it doesn't mention Ronald Reagan once.

8. Russian Historian Study
A group of leading historians in Russia published a massive work on Fall Of Soviet Empire.

Index omits Reagan. No mention.

Berlin Wall typical of Ron. Actor. Punch lines.

He was speaking in the morning and a lady yelled out "President Reagan tell Gorbachev to tear down that wall". He used it in afternoon speech
Gorby ignored him. Wall came down under Bush I

7. One issue with the above:
You said:
"You are no conservative to increase spending by 80% and Debt by 183%"

Does that mean you are a progressive if you increase spending and the debt?
