it has been time for Arlen Specter to hang up his boxing gloves and retire. He has had several bouts with cancer and at his age he should be focused on spending time with family and whatever non-political hobbies he may enjoy.
It is indeed time that many of the "old timers" move on and let the next generations take the reins.
