17. Specter led the hearings about Professor Hill and treated |
|
her abysmally and disrespectfully. I've never forgotten or approved of Specter since. We wouldn't have Clarence Thomas as a Supreme Court judge without Arlen Specter.

14. Specter along with the current vice-prez were what I consider vicious in how they treated her... |
|
helped install Clarence Thomas as a supreme.
Yuck, just thinking about it makes me want to retch.

20. didn't Biden call out a male witness for being an egotistical asshole? |
|
You know, the guy who said that Anita Hill must be a lesbian, because she refused his overtures?
I don't remember Biden being a jerk, but I didn't catch all of the hearings back then.

|
google 'Biden Anita Hill" and read what comes up. It was brought up by some when Obama chose Biden during the election.

7. I will always believe her testimony. |
|
I stopped being friends with other women who called her a liar.
They said, "How could she not tell for so long?"
By that logic, all abused people who are just silently suffering should just STFU.
Well the Catholic Church got that wrong!

21. Specter has been an accomplice and collaborator to some of the most unsavory moments... |
|
...in American history: the absolute farce that was the Warren Commission and the sexist, character assassination that was the Thomas hearings. Time to write a book, Arlen. Try to make it as factual as possible. After all, you've already co-authored a heap o' fiction.

I hope Hill has a moment of joy tonight. Having watched that awful spectacle all those years ago I believe she deserves it.

I'm glad Arlen is gone now. I'm very proud of Democrats in PA.
Tonight was a very good night. We don't need Arlen in the Senate anymore.
Your pic of Anita was touching. I will always admire her. History will be kind to her.
