A very good 538 Tweet from Nate - "When you cut through the clutter, the bottom line is that tonight |
|
should make Dems more optimistic about November"
Since I don't watch the Teevee, I suspect that this sort of thing is not what the MSM wants to report (or, indeed, is reporting).

6. My impression of tonight's MSM meme -- |
|
Everything is boding well for Republicans and incumbent Democrats are in trouble. They are reporting the opposite of what I am seeing.

13. It is amazing how idiotic they are tonight. Specter losing is a huge blow to Obama and repudiation |
|
of him. No, it's not. Dems vote in primaries for who they want to vote for - and if they didn't then Obama wouldn't be President. Specter was a party-switcher and people have memories. The White House supported him (and Lincoln) because they have needed (still do actually) their votes in the Senate where every Senator is a little tyrant. The Democrats won a special election in a district that Mccain won.
I'm just really not seeing the bad news but they are playing a funeral dirge for Dems and Obama.
They still think people are stupid and can't both vote for who they want in the primaries AND still support the President.
They are f@#king idiots.

15. You put it perfectly and far better then I could. |
|
Senators are tyrants and the Prez needs their votes...I mean that is politics 101.
The MSM is not stupid though. Push the anti-incumbent, anti-Obama message. And for Faux: If someone wins from the left in a primary does that mean Obama is NOT a socialist.

10. Tonight's results are a very encouraging indicator for November |
|
The media continue to push the "it's an angry electorate" storyline. It's bunk. Fake drama to pump-up ratings.
The Republican Party has nothing to celebrate. They failed to take Murtha's seat. Renegade Rand Paul trounces the establishment candidate. Low GOP turnout in the hotly contested KY primary (vs. high Dem turnout). Sestak beats Specter, and has good momentum heading toward November.
Lots of work ahead, but it's looking good.
