Hey Blanche, maybe you shouldn't have fought so hard against HCR |
|
If she loses, it is another loss that HELPS the White House, even though the pundits will claim it hurts them.

1. If she loses in the run-off, I can't say that I'll miss her |
|
I was glad that she replaced Hutch, but she didn't seem to be so much different from him in the end.

3. Blanche voted against public option, wants to cut social security/medicare |
|
plus she takes money from corporations/insurance companies. Too much like a GOP that she's scary.

6. Mark Pryor's basically the same as Lincoln |
|
He's not like his father, whom I had the pleasure to meet when he came to give a talk at the old Holiday Inn in Springdale. (I also had the pleasure to sit in his chair back when he was governor). But Junior has the Pryor name, and that's enough to keep him in the seat. It's too bad, really-- he could be a progressive, and still keep his Senate seat.

7. I was disappointed in Mark Pryor, too |
|
I emailed him several times, but all I got is an auto reply that didn't have anything to do with my emails. Same with Blanche. Mike Ross is actually much nicer and replies to my emails. What you said about Mark not being same as father is so true.
I hope that Halter is really a progressive and keeps his word. I do feel good about him. We can only hope!

8. I guess I should make a correction |
|
I think now that it was Mark Pryor who replaced Hutch (Tim Hutchinson), not Blanche Lincoln. Lincoln replaced Dale Bumpers, who had retired in 1998 after 24 years in the Senate. Unfortunately, she was not able to fill his shoes. For his part, Pryor Jr. is occupying the seat formerly held by his father and Hutchinson.
At any rate, I hope Halter is a progressive, too. He seems sincere enough, from what I know of him.

Im not sure about that.
Her interests and the WH have been more aligned than many people here want to admit.
