So the first thing I thought tonight about the election results is not something |

i have heard the pundits say. Here is my thought:
People form both parties--the real Democrats and the real Republicans--reject the middle of the road approach and want people who represent the real values of their respective parties.

That's the way it's always been. Only the true die-hards in the parties bother to show up in mid-term primaries.
In fact, the 2008 Democratic Primaries were anomalous. Nothing like that has ever occurred before.
