One would think that being wrong about everything all the time would catch up with him sooner or later.

1. One would hope so.
Knowing Rahm and the DLC, they'll try to claim Specter and Blanche WalMart were "too liberal".

4. Not sure about that.

Taking credit for something else doubles the fault, first not supporting the idea at the time, second lying after the fact.

So not sure if that is what he is doing.

11. I stand corrected. It was Goldman Sachs that he said that about and he said "illegal" not wrong.

Former President Bill Clinton says it is "time to lower the rhetoric and talk about the facts," in reference to the government's scrutiny of Wall Street.

In an exclusive interview with Maria Bartiromo, Clinton noted that while many financial firms are being questioned by the Securities and Exchange Commission, he does not believe that Goldman Sachs or CEO Lloyd Blankfein did anything illegal, based on what he's seeing.

7. this is kind of a test of whether Obama has thrown in with the DLC out of necessity or choice
If it was necessity, this would be a good time to show them the door.

If it was choice, we're in trouble.

8. I have a horrible feeling, it was choice.
:-(

Let's hope he can admit his mistake and move forward. FDR did. FDR was a rich guy who finally figured out that his rich guy friends were wrong.

...of healthcare reform, I was ready to see him fired.

I expected better of Obama.

14. Well he's never been popular with many of us.
I just wonder if he's wearing a little thin with the President today.

17. They think it's an aberration
They'll continue to run to the right until anyone who considers themselves from the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party finds either another party or funds an aggressive primary opponent.

:woohoo:

18. Rahm was marginalized in the WH during the HCR debate
when Obama went against all his advisers and plowed ahead with HCR.

Now, I can guarantee you Emmanuel is on board with the new direction. He's a politician, after all, and will go whichever way the wind blows.

Ultimately, he'll return to Chicago and run for mayor because his influence has dwindled.
