This is why CNN is at the bottom of the sheet. |
|
The male anchor this morning, while interviewing Governor Richardson, questioned him about a quote from Sarah Palin. His co-anchor even gave him a funny look. The Governor paused and went on to continue the discussion in the professional manner to which he is accustomed. How can you be a major news source and Sarah Palin is your point of reference. That was insulting to the person being interviewed.

1. 'Mr. President... Mr. President... Do you have a response to this Paris Hilton quote?' |
|
Palin is a blight on media. The Paris Hilton of politics.
Truly insulting.

2. Cheapening Of The Corporate Media |
|
Chicken Noodle Nuze has fallen a long way in the past decade (since Time/Warner got a hold of it)...bobblehead newsreaders flanked by political hacks. It's lazy "news" as all it does is regergitate talking points and "conventional wisdom" with little real substance because they don't hire real journalists. Much of CNN's "talent" these days are barely major market quality...prefering to "look good" rather than be a real news channel. And the ratings show it...from once dominating their competitors, they're now firmly in last place.

4. Its funny how certain dates stick with a person |
|
Many dates of seemingly uneventful things I remember like the day I quit smoking cigarettes or the day I quit drinking liquor by the bottle or the day I quit watching CNN, aka 'chicken noodle nuze' I feel so much better inform for having quit watching cnn although I do like Cafferty, warts and all.

7. I Used To Live CNN 24/7... |
|
The days of Bernie Shaw, John Holloman, Dan Schorr and even Judy Woodruff. Their coverage of the Beijing uprising is still some of the most compelling television and honest journalism I have ever witnessed. A far cry from the lame Haiti coverage where they looped the same video clips over and over and then sent the "personalities".
The good thing about DU is if there's anything worthy it's either linked here in GD or over in the video forum. Life moves too fast, I kinda like being able to cherry pick rather than deal with bulk volume these days.

8. I was hooked on cnn for a while too |
|
Then I find the Internet and then DU and then slowly my eyes were being pried open and finally I could see that cnn after being sold to time/warner are nothing more than an arm of the :puke: party. Its all propaganda. What else could it be? The lies they told about sicko was the last straw, July 3, 2007 was the last day of chicken noodle nuze for me.
The neocons have worked hard and have paid lots of money in buying up our media since nixon's fall.
