BP Protest idea ...Charge .09 cents worth of gas |
|
I'm torn by hurting the local owners...but this might work.
How about if you are near a BP, you pull in and buy some gas (use credit card) The catch is everyone buy .09 cents worth of gas. Gonna have to pump it slow.
Then go into the station and purchase something from the shop that you need. Apparently the shop owners make little on the actual gas sales and more from the shop sales.
If you really need gas (optional) stop at .09 cents and fill up on a new receipt.
Just to send a message that we are watching this situation.

the usual thing is to just ignore Exxon/Esso.
Best bet maybe to ignore all oil companies and stop using the stuff completely. World would sure be a cleaner place.
edit to ad - BTW a subsantial amount of the UK's fuel is bought at Supermarket filling stations and as such its unlabelled. Is that the same in the USA ?
