It's not that Lincoln "works with" Republicans |
|
Edited on Wed May-19-10 11:23 AM by RandySF
I'm an old school political activist who understand that on important pieces of legislation, it was generally a good thing when Republicans and Democrats can work together, just as LBJ and Everett Dirkson worked together to pass the Civil Rights Act. But Republican are not playing ball and when "Democrats" like Blanche Lincoln votes to undercut the President and the Democratic agenda, that's not bipartisanship as I understand it. So I wish Susan Page would STFU on NPR when she talks about "penalties" paid for working across the aisle. She didn't work, she walked.

3. Blanche was in the Corporate Pockets and therefore went too far |

right against her own party.
Besides that she would do one thing in the Senate and tell her Constituents she did another. One of her ads was blatantly false and shown on MSNBC. I think she was having a hard time keeping her stories straight.
