46,000 SQUARE MILES OF WATER CLOSED TO FISHING

HUFFINGTON POST

Gulf Fishing: Oil Spill To Shut Down 19 Percent Of Area, More Than Double Original Closure

MELISSA NELSON | 05/18/10 06:48 PM

PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. — The sign outside the Pensacola Beach marina says "We're Still Fishing," but that's not really true.

The federal government announced Tuesday it was nearly tripling the size of an area in the Gulf of Mexico that's closed to fishing because of a massive oil spill off the coast of Louisiana.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said it had closed nearly 46,000 square miles, or about 19 percent of federal waters.

5. Back in the USSR what a propaganda machine we live in...
Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC
Didn't get to bed last night
On the way the paper bag was on my knee
Man I had a dreadful flight
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Been away so long I hardly knew the place
Gee it's good to be back home
Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case
Honey disconnect the phone
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the U.S. Back in the U.S. Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
we leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my mind.

I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boys
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
we leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my mind.

Show me round your snow-peaked mountains way down south
Take me to your daddy's farm
Let me hear your balalaikas ringing out
Come and keep your comrade warm.
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boys
Back in the U.S.S.R.

6. I smell crude corruption. BP is ordering our Coast Guard!
A corporation is apparently in command of our Coast Guard, not our government and not us. We have more than an oil disaster on our hands. We have private mercenary forces working around the world, we have lobbyists armed to the teeth with money to buy congress and we have a corporation telling our Coast Guard who should be able to see what. It's the PEOPLE's ocean, not BPs. If I was president and I heard a private corporation was dictating to my military I would fire anyone in the Coast Guard who complied with a corporate demand and then I would take control over the Gulf area, announcing that if any BP watercraft was anywhere near the Gulf they would be seized and if they didn't comply they would be sank.

If Obama doesn't find the guts he needs to do his job we need someone else who can. I'm beginning to believe Hillary would have made a better president. I don't think she would have taken any shit off of a lot of people, not even her husband, who sold out to corporations and Wall Street far too often.

8. BP can buy the U.S. Coast Guard if they want and lay everyone off
That's their mentality.
