I know there are basic things that don't change, but if you could suggest things to be included, what would they be?

feel free to suggest anything that means something to you.

I'll start.

1. We will not support waterboarding, special renditions, or preemptive wars.

1. National renewable portfolio standard
and a national moratorium on new nuclear until a geologic depository is operating.

3. Waging Law enforcement
Ending the war on terror and starting to wage "law enforcement" world wide.
Ditto for the "war" on drugs. It's a law inforcement problem.
Close Gitmo, and all it's carbon copies. Write the laws to prevent reopening, ever.
Here's an oldie but a goodie, Health CARE reform. Access to health CARE is a right for all. Hospitals cannot ask about insurance, nor issue bills, until AFTER treatment.
Volker rule.
And one I wish SOMEONE could figure out how to do. Truth in journalism.

5. Would be nice if the elected officials followed the one we have, for starters
Then we can work on the rest.

I favor clearer support for workers' rights and fair wage laws.

Would also like to see more support for progressive taxation and restoration of our social safety net

6. Maintain a military of a reasonable size - not necessarily ten times larger
than everyone elses, but one that had GOOD QUALITY equipment and is highly mobile and flexible.
Cut the size of the Army, Navy and AF by 1/3rd.

7. Hold military spending at current levels, but include new mandates
...such as infrastructure and development projects in current and former theaters. 10% of budget should do nicely.
