Glenn Beck has increased his popularity/exposure

and it's exactly what his detractors should have been hoping for.

When the mainstream media pays attention to Beck it irks progressives, but it shouldn't.

where he's defending a sponsor and calling someone's kids "weiner" children, only serve to demonstrate what he is.

Beck flourished in the shadows, loved by a small percentage of Americans (and Canadians), but the more light is shone on him the more people get to hear him.

And rather than gaining new fans he will/has ramped up outrage from centrists/moderates (who could vote either way) unimpressed by the rhetoric, and associating it with the right and Republicans.
So, progressives looking to bolster support for their causes should write letters to Fox News in support of Beck and beckon him on to ever more extreme advocacy.
