My neighbor says North Korea Blew the well up! |
|
Now, I know he's a bit of a conspiracy theorist, and probably out to the right a bit,( a huge bit) so he comes up while I'm mowing the lawn and I asked him what he thought about the situation in the Gulf, and he tells this story about a North Korean freighter that sailed close enough to launch a suicide submarine with incendiary torpedos. The sub launched the torpedos, blowing the rig up, then sat there waiting til Obama had the nuke conference, then the sub crashed into the rig and finished it off. The reason North Korea did this was so that they could justify owning nukes in case they need them to blow up and seal runaway oil wells like the gulf spill. Where do they GET this stuff? Aand I wonder if anyone else has heard this tale? I didn't think so.... but it may surface soon... I literally had to hide myself from cracking up!:nuke:

We heard that the day after the explosion, it was all over the blogs and right wing whackjob sites. People claiming to have been on on the rig claiming they had "seen" unauthorized, unmarked boats in the area. I thought that had finally disappeared.

He comes up with these zingers every time he wanders over for a chat. I never argue with him about anything, and I suspect he's a libertarian type. Whenever he comes over, I just brace myself for some completely wild theory about everything under the sun. I did get into it about health care when that was the topic de'jour, and actually had him convinced that universal health care was good (I'm from Canada heh heh) Nice fellow, retired guy, but I guess he has lots of time on his hands. I said to him, OK, regardless of what happened, how do we clean it up, and how stupid it was to drill a hole where you can't go and plug it up if something goes ape shit with it. He does agree with clean energy though. Funny how somebody can be waaaay out to the right on some things, and yet far left on others...
