3. as a lifelong New Yorker, I still find it to be better than most other newspapers, however.
Although I've noticed more errors in reporting in the past five years than previously. But, seriously, "a filthy sewer"??? Hardly.

4. They led the charge for the Iraq War.
They carried the Swiftboat lies.
They ruined ACORN.
They are now trying to ruin Richard Blumenthal.

6. I share your justified anger...and the NYTimes sure is not what it once was...
I canceled my subscription after the 2004 election..and have never regretted it. It is almost as big a rag as The Daily News, The Post and even the WSJ
