Where in the Constitution does it say the government can...
(fill in the blank)...


"...Promote the general welfare"

What else do you need to know???

That the sole purpose of the government IS to regulate and mitigate and stimulate.

If all you want is a cage fight with forces over your weight class than join an ultimate fight league. Because the government I want balances needs and desires of the governed fairly and supports even the lowliest of the governed.

If you want a government that gives prizes and perks to the "winners" and allows the abuse of the greater majority through acts or omissions of support you miss the original intent.
