4. Montgomery Bus Riots...
The Freedom Riders were attacked on this day in 1961 in Montgomery, with 20 being injured, leading Atty. Gen. RFK to send in 200 Federal Marshals. As one of my old professors used to say, "the thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history."
