The Freedom to Discriminate
Rand Paul detests discrimination. He told Rachel that; insisted that every fiber in his body finds discrimination reprehensible. It's just that he believes people should be free to discriminate, inferring that we are more enslaved as a people because we don't guarantee private enterprise, and private individuals the right to discriminate upon race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.

It's a freedom of speech issue, says Paul, not being able to discriminate: a governmental infringement upon one's right to expression.

Actually, it does sound like a lack of discrimination, intellectual discrimination, on Paul's part. As if his logic would insist that it is all right to falsely yell fire in a crowded theater. That "freedom of expression" to yell fire and perhaps induce trampling deaths through panic trumps the public safety concerns in Paul's world view. (If we're going to carry his right to 'expression' argument to its logical yet ad absurdum conclusion.)

I'm thinking he should see an eye doctor for his myopia.
