Think about it, probably all those Specter votes in Tues' primary will go to Sestak...There is no way a Specter voter will vote for someone as far right as Toomey...

1. Me too. :-).
Sestak is not near as liberal I'd like but I believe he cares about the "average working American." I can live with Senators who have their values in order.

6. For the same reason that Obama wouldn't support Sestak

Blind loyalty to a party label attached to an incumbent... rather than to political principles that the party is supposed to stand for.

Now both parties get the "right" person in the race and it comes down to real issues.

May the best man win.

3. All Toomey needs is a mansion in Virginia and a shack in Penn Hills he never visits.
That's a sure way to lock in the old Santorum idiots.

4. I think you're right. As I understand it,
the western part of PA is the more conservative part, which Sestak won handily.

5. Sestak has a very good chance of beating Toomey... depending
The PA Democratic party should frame this as Admiral Sestak versus Wall Street banker Toomey. Wall Street bankers are equated to pond scum these days. Toomey is very beatable if Sestak and the Dems go right after Toomey's pro-Bush, pro-Wall Street, anti-labor record.

Toomey's swaps dealer background:

7. Sestak's campaign team needs to play Toomey's appearance
on "Hardball"....Toomey's pro-life views are to the right of Rick Santorum, if that's possible....I can't even recall Santorum calling for the jailing of abortion doctors..

I've added it to Toomey's bio on Wikipedia:
