I was shocked watching Anderson Cooper's news show last nite

he was doing a story on Thailand's riot and did a video of the King of Thailand.

the King was sitting in a room and two men in suits came in walking on their knees. when they got near the King they swung their rear to the side and sat on the floor holding themselves up with one arm. their legs were to the other side and not together. It was a position I've never seen man or woman sit like. they would have fallen back if not supported by the one arm.

let me say this again. they came into the room walking on their knees.

good grief! I thought all of that stuff was over with long ago but apparently not.

no wonder the Thais are rioting.

the report said the King was old and his son will take over when he dies. will they be walking on their knees and doing that peculiar sit for him too?!

surely Hillary and our diplomats don't walk on their knees for him too. He probably doesn't even see them but lets his underlings talk to them.

(makes me think how people get on their knees and kiss the criminal pope's ring.)

may the people of Thailand be able to get up off their knees and live as harmoniously as possible in this climate change time.

shame on the King of Thailand, shame on him. may he fall down and never get up again.

1. The Thais have no problem with that
It's called a deep wai and even grandparents get that honor and it's common for younger people to lie down with their body flat to the floor when their grandparents summon them.

When they put their hands in greeting and bow their heads to each other it's an informal form of that.

That's not why the people are rioting.

2. I know its not why they are rioting

its still shocking to see people do that. walking on knees, sitting in a strange way. I didn't know they even lay down flat.

its 2010!

4. Images

In the second image I see a pillow, I guess that helps support the elderly. A young supple person wouldn't need an arm or pillow for support.
