Rachel Maddow is one smart cookie who is chock full of facts
Empty headed dirtbags, like Rand Paul, make appearances on her show at their own peril.

When she sets her sights on one, it's a joy to see.

3. Yes, indeedy. And did you see Rand's body language?
He was very, VERY angry. Both with Rachel and himself. He was feeling exposed and stupid.

6. Well, that's because he IS exposed and stupid.
People who really really really believe in the libertarian view just don't have a grip on reality.

Libertarianism works great in a utopian Eden, when EVERYONE from the fatcat CEO to the homeless behaves with integrity and thoughtfulness toward all, not just themselves. And unfortunately, because we don't, because we are captives of reality and our human nature, we sometimes need to be compelled to do the correct or moral thing. Sometimes we need to be compelled by an outside entity (like government) to loosen our embrace on our own myopia and selfishness. If everyone in modern society could be counted on to do the honorable thing (can't say "right thing" anymore because the word "right" is totally perverted in meaning by now) then libertarianism would be wonderful, and quite workable. It's a nice idea. That. Doesn't. Work. Not in the real world, anyway. In the Tooth Fairy Utopia that rand paul and his dad and all the other addle-brained believers out there wish they could inhabit and think they can create in real life, it works fine. But not in the real world, with real problems and real issues and real hardships and real unfairness, and real greed and real short-sightedness, and real human nature.

And you make a good point - body language. It NEVER lies.

He was expecting nonstop canonization because he won the primary and everyone everywhere was fawning over him as though he were the Second Coming. And everyone everywhere in the media was kissing his feet and anointing him with oil - they even described him with variations on that word ("anointing") all frickin' NIGHT! Like he was some sort of saint. She alone did not. She alone was not among the worshippers.

It makes me happy to see every show on MSNBC all day so far is featuring large chunks of her interview with this little weasel. The more America learns about him and this frickin' idiot pie-in-the-sky libertarian movement, the better for all the rest of us. I LOVE what I just heard from Andrea Mitchell of all people - about how rand paul now has a serious problem - "this is exploding all over the place."

As well it should.

Rachel Maddow = Giant Killer!!!!

:toast: :woohoo: :applause: :yourock: :patriot: :fistbump:   :kick:

15. I agree. . .and disagree! I think he was very angry, at both himself and Rachel
and he probably FELT stupid. . .but unfortunately HE IS NOT STUPID!
That's what concerns me, I think he is smarter than the average teabagger. . .and that's not a good thing!

Luckily, he is still not smart enough to be a match for Rachel!

9. Not only is she brilliant - you can tell that she loves her job.
She seems like she pours her heart and soul into her show and she is loving every minute of it. I can just picture her sitting there doing research in her office and getting all excited when she finds what she was looking for.

12. And I'm glad she did. I'm tired of people sweeping douchebaggery like this under the rug.
It is refreshing to see someone fight back not only civilly; but break the nonsense spewed by the RW logically so that viewers can truly think about what has been said.

And because Ms. Maddow did so, people are able to see the bigoted buffoon that Rand Paul is.
