If Dr. Martin Luther King were alive today how would the Republican Party treat him? |
|
It pisses me off when they cite him and talk about how they hold him in high esteem. John Lewis (D) Georgia is the closest thing we have to Dr. King and to them he is just another Liberal Democrat.

2. The real issue is how would the Democrats treat him |
|
He would be a real inconvenience, especially to their wars and phony health care reform.

5. they'd view him as a black radical connected to black militants |
|
They'd use every statement he ever made and turn it around to make it threatening towards whites. They'd call him a racist. They'd discredit him in every way possible.

9. Probably like they treat Al Sharpton. They'd snicker about |
|
his accent and be dismissive of him as an officious intermeddler.

21. Not much of a chance that was going to happen |

They would have pulled the trigger themselve, any one of a number of the neoCON's would have. I'm not so sure that J.E. Ray was acting alone anyway. Dr. King was but a thorn in their side and they weren't going to let that go on much longer. I remember the times well.
