My uninformed take on the oil catastrophe
The Federal Government must order BP out of the area immediately. Experts from all over the world must be brought on board to shut it down.

No more deep sea drilling.

As of this day Government must spend the money to know more than the criminals.

The length and breadth of this disaster is just sinking in.

1. You speak for me, malaise...
It keeps getting uglier and uglier, and still I don't believe we know the half of it... maybe 1/10. I'm being generous.

Seems to me BP's efforts have been focused on how much oil they can save, and sell. It's certainly not centered around saving our ocean... and planet.

The first person who tells me I'm exaggerating with the "planet" bit can kiss my ass, and will be ignored... you haven't a clue, so consider this your preemptive STFU.

3. Latest Monty Python skit:
Check this out...he says "spill" I mean "leak"....

:banghead: This is who the Government trusts to fix it.

The government will do nothing until the people won't put up any longer. Let's hope "the length and breadth of this disaster" is sinking in for more people--it SHOULD.

4. Remember how Chernobyl became the undoing of the USSR?

Maybe this oil spill will be the undoing of our government.

We tried voting for someone new. And that seems to not be working. We have tried to have so many regulatory agencies in place to protect us. Only that proves to be just a mechanism that siphons off our money, fines the small businesses and then allows firms like BP to slide.

We need an entirely new way to govern.

Rasmussen poll released today says that 41% of all Americans think we would have better Congress people if names were selected at random out of the phone book!

5. Sec. Salazar needs to be forced out - to resign
We need someone who can go in there and completely revamp that department - banish the Bush hangovers - find people who will protect the nations' interests, not the oil and coal companies. Will Obama throw him under the bus - he's done some of that, but not nearly enough. I don't think he will. He is too weak as a leader.
