who says regarding the Arizona Immigration Law (I took a poll and posted about it on FB):
LB's redneck cousin: Uhmmm the way I see it is why is everyone crying foul. Arizona just passed into local law that the Federal Government has had in place for a very long time
LB: No they didn't. Read the law. The law allows police officers (two towns are refusing to enforce it because it's an unfunded mandate) to racially profile. It is NOT a crime to "be" in this country without papers. It is a crime to CROSS THE BORDER (misdemeanor). If Arizona wants to end illegal immigration, they need to make *HIRING* one a felony. Until then, it's straight racism, through and through.
LB's redneck cousin: Uhm maybe you should read the federal laws. All your points ar absolutely wrong. You may want to read this wikipedia article on federal laws regarding immigration
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_immigration_to_the_United_States?wasRedirected=trueLB: maybe you should read the LAW, and not wikipedia, which I can edit right now to say whatever I want. (You can do the same). There is not a single one of my points that is wrong, unless you disagree with my opinion (which you are free to do) But that there are towns refusing: FACT. That the law encourages racial profiling: FACT. This is because it would make the failure to carry immigration documents a crime and give the police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally. FACT. That is NOT in the US Statute. FACT. That if you want to stop illegal immigration all you have to do is outlaw hiring them...MY OPINION which you are free to disagree with.

You all are so good on the fly. :hi:
