Hillary Rodham Clinton - This is How I feel about her
Edited on Thu May-20-10 04:46 PM by Taverner
"Voice of Reason"

That is HRC in a nutshell. She is that voice that says the truth, not consistently (god - no politician says the truth consistently. Go look up "Politician" in a dictonary!) but enough to matter

Get her talking long enough, and reason will eminate from her mouth.

This is a rare quality in politicians.

That is why I am glad she is Sec of State.

I was for Obama in the primary. Yeah, he had it to be president. Being president isn't always about details - often its about the big picture.

Secretary of State, however, is about the small things

And HRC has that, how can I saym "ATTENTION TO DETAIL."

It is that which I do not have, and wish I did

8. People in Honduras and elsewhere may not share your feelings.
Voice of reason? Where especially does that reason show? If it´s about keeping the empire afloat by any means necessary - maybe you have a point.
This may include coups and extralegal murders.
If ousting elected presidents abroad is fine - maybe she does fine.

She only does what the previous admin did, of course with better manners . Ethically the difference is barely detectable.

Next to Rahm one of the worst appointments. But since Obama seems to agree or at least not to care - he is as responsible as her.

She will happily "reason" us into a war with Iran, if that's what the Masters want her to do.

You're knee-jerking to conclusions.

And none of that has changed with Obama in the White House.

17. And she would be even better as president.
She's a policy wonk and does her homework. She literally sleeps with her briefing book (when Bill is not around). She's a caring person (that's why some of her staffers have been with her since her days as First Lady). Employees at State praise her management style. It's a pity that she will probably leave when Obama's first term is up.

:)

29. Yeah, and Obama did the gangta-rap "brush-off" to Hillary --
there were no clean hands in that contest.

At least Hillary didn't rack up her delegates by gaming the system through bussing in flash mobs of iPod kids to Mickey-Mouse caucuses in empty states.

Sayin'.

42. Counterbalancing her hagiography is in her own interests and yours
Don't worry, Hillary will be President in 2012. There will be no Obama. President Biden will defer to Hillary.

No candidate will receive the minimum number of electoral votes (270) and the election will be thrown into the House of Representatives, in a redux of the Election of 1824.

The House of Representatives will choose Hillary, who will immediately be labeled "illegitimate" even by the media.

She will be the last elected president.

DLC = Effective conservatives.

Given the choice between effective conservatives and loony toon bible beaters...I'll take effective conservatives...but I'd rather have a real left-of-center choice with the same effectiveness. Tough to get that these days.

35. I see your "voice that says the truth" and raise you one "landing
under sniper fire". That one was so far beyond ridiculous that it was pretty much the stake through the heart of her credibility for me. Sure, all politicians stretch the truth, as you say, but that one was not just false... it was a whopper so utterly, demonstrably false that I would lave laughed aloud at its ridiculousness if I weren't too busy being bitter that she thought me that fucking stupid.
