Hypocrisy: our team can play that game, too
The NH web site Blue Hampshire has announced its endorsement in the NH-02 Democratic primary.

The manager of the site is in a twist because one candidate, Katrina Swett, supported Joe Lieberman in the 2004 primary. Now, so did the current state party chair, state party executive director, and several other Democrats with indisputable credentials, but to the philosopher kings of the netroots, this is apparently a mortal sin.

So they endorse a bastion of progressivism who:

Was a Republican for most of her life and basically bought credibility by writing a few big checks to Al Gore and Jeanne Shaheen.

Lobbied for Big Pharma and health insurance companies.

Lobbied for financial industry interests.

Benefitted from her law firms lobbying for notorious polluters.

Endorsed Republican Charlie Bass over Democratic candidates in several races.

Katrina was busting her ass to elect Democrats back when her opponent was still a Republican in good standing. I for one am sick of self-appointed internet gatekeepers tearing down people who have spent their lives fighting for Democratic ideals because of their infatuation with the latest wealthy and credentialed pet rock.
