A month
I could post lots of horrible pictures, but you've seen them all.

With each passing day, they ratchet up the estimates.

No one involved in this can be trusted to tell us the truth.

A month of a wild well.

A month of toxic spew.

The worst man made disaster ever in the US, if not the world.

It is time to seize all of BP's assets and put them out of business.

3. We get it. You're a saint on a bicycle
Flash: Not everyone can do what you do.

11. We've been conservation conscious for over 2 decades.
We compost to basically eliminate using fertilizers, we don't water the lawn and even though we've been in a drought for the last few years I don't water plants unless they're near death.

Everyone is this household has a bike to use in the neighborhood or we walk. We're not perfect, but we've been trying for years. I have neighbors who won't even walk through the 'hood, they drive, and I have a neighbor who won't even walk from the house to the pool - they use a damned golf cart.

I've been consolidating trips (running errands, etc.) for years. Not perfect, but have been trying for years. I'm just probably offsetting some of my dumbass neighbors.

12. I commute on foot. My car often sits for a week, undriven.
But to do anything, I have to drive. The US, apart from urban centers, is not conducive to alternatives unless you're young and healthy. I'm not.

He is right though. If we really want change it is going to hurt a little
We drive too. Driving is necessary...sometimes. Really, we all have to start to cut out some of the extras. We cannot hit BP where it hurts if we are still so dependent on them and their ilk.

4. A month of them dumping proprietary chemicals into this mess.
Don't forget that one. I don't think we have begun to see the effects of that move, even with the clean-up crews reporting respiratory issues.

8. I'm sick of being lied to, sick of these greedy bastards getting
away with the murder, maybe negligent homicide of 11, the wholesale destruction of ecosystems, and the human toll of loss of livelihoods, etc. I've been bouncing between extreme anger, extreme sadness, and anxiety about not yet knowing just how bad this is going to be.

Channeling Mike Malloy, 'have I mentioned how much I hate these bastards?' Thanks for allowing me to vent a little.

9. Seizing foreign companies is the kind of thing that has instigated wars before
I got a feeling Britain might go to the mat over that one. BP is their crown jewel.

10. At least two to three more, probably more than that..
I'm betting the relief well won't stop the flow and it takes even more time.

I'm also predicting this spill eventually affects the entire world. Tar balls from this flow will wash up on Waikiki beach.

You heard it here, first.
