Using Rand Pauls OWN LOGIC it'd be OK for a "private" hospital NOT to treat an Asian person because |
|
Edited on Thu May-20-10 07:02 PM by uponit7771
...they're Asian and the hospital has free speech rights or some other bullshit.
At the LEAST Rand Paul did not think through this position nor it's consequences before he preferred it and just like other absolutist (aka purist) he gets caught with other perspectives and is made to look foolish because he wanted to "stay the course" on his ideals.
If Rand Paul turns out to be another racist Tea Bagger (UW Study on TB racism) I would not be shocked nor surprised...

Easy for him to support things that will never affect him.

13. I think he would still support it |

The thing about teabaggers is they really aren't true Looneytarians. They support racist agenda because they genuinely are racists. The vast majority of them haven't a clue what Looneytarianism is or means, even if they are able to throw out an Ayn Rand quote now and then they can't possibly understand. Rand Paul is a card carrying Looneytarian and genuinely buys into the Looneytarian BS. Really the only similarity he has to teabaggers is all you have to do is give him an open mic and it won't take him long to reveal his idiocy. Looneytarians believe in "liberty" so strongly they want to give people the liberty to infringe on other people's liberty. In essence, that's what Looneytarianism is all about.

to go where he/she wants to get treatment, means that Rand Paul doesn't believe in individual freedom!

9. Who does Rand Paul believe grants actual "private property" rights? |
|
Edited on Thu May-20-10 07:17 PM by Puzzler
The government, that's who. And who's ultimately going to enforce your actual legal right to your property? The government, that's who. Without the government (and the rule of law enforced by the government) your private property "rights" are pretty much meaningless. Unless, your idea is to stake out your property claim and defend your property borders with a gun.

Libertarianism is pretty brutal in practice. But that is probably the point of it.

Did you miss that whole Jim Crow thingy? In fact, I'd bet there are a number of people in parts of Arizona who would love to put up a "no beaner" sign.
