17. The dispersant was every bit as toxic as the oil
BP only used it to cover up the evidence.

21. Absolutely right.
Using dispersants make it more difficult to measure the extent of the spill..AND also make it more difficult to capture the oil...so..let's see, what could the REAL purpose be???

16. I still can't believe that the EPA ever allowed those dispersants to be pumped
into our ocean. One toxin on top of another.

6. I am with you. BUT WE HAVE TO.
There is no way we can allow this to sink away in our consciousness. We already did this to too many calamities and sins and atrocities.
We have become disaster fatigued, overloaded.
I'm just rambling, because I am very affected by the thought of what is happening out there in the ocean, I understand you fully.

8. I just HOPE the media shows these pictures. Or better yet - these pictures
should be on signs held up when the drill baby drill crowd is out in public.

14. Heartbreaking...
I wonder if the one laughing gull knew the other, and was sticking by his mate and/or pal?

To me, victims of the dispersants = victims of the oil. The dispersants wouldn't be there but for the oil. When numbers are tallied, animals killed by dispersants should be added to number of animals killed by oil.
