3. Fuckety fuck fuck fuck. Does our government really think that
a few cops are going to keep the destruction under wraps?

4. I just figured something out. They don't want to impact tourism in the area
because that means lots of JOBS and lots of MONEY.

I read on another forum that they are pushing the season with BP money to bring people into the area while the beaches are still clean.

I guess that it means many millions.

No excuse in any way, but a pragmatist + capitalist might think this way..

7. Pragmatic, indeed. Hoodwink people into bringing their children to frolic
in globs of oil and breathe in benzene, toluene, and xylene.

13. They can't delay forever.
This oil will not go away in time for the tourist season. It is just stupid, foolish to delay publication of the truth about what is going on.

Denial, that's all it is. It won't last long.

9. It's toxic, that's what they know. They're trying to keep tourists out of the goo. OTOH...
... I am of the mind that people OUGHT to see what is going on with their own eyes. Really. Open up all the roads -- let everyone experience this devastation.

10. This is some scary shit, people

the fact that BP has contracted emergency animal care is frightening. they are telling people not to attempt to help wildlife, but to call a phone number to report.

So deputies are guarding any evidence sights, just So nobody can get any animals for testing perhaps?

A lot of our rainfall here originates in the Gulf. Are those dispersants going to be in our rainfall, falling on our livestock and in our gardens?

the questions outnumber any real fucking answers.

I hope those who profit from the suffering are punished, that's all i can say
