Many of today's stories do not report exact date of the start of oil spill.

As I looked through the stories for the exact date of the start of this, I find that is not mentioned. It has been about a month, or whatever, but the date is not mentioned in most stories.
Today is exactly one month and yesterday BP admitted that it could not extimate the exact rate of flow, although it had been doing just that for a month.

Yes, one whole month and very little progress. Eighty per cent, (according to BP) is still gushing out. We, the United States of America, are the laughing stock of the world. Letting the pimp control of an out of control whore house that is destroying the Gulf of Mexico, ain't that smart.. It is sad.

This New York Times story, on the front page now, does not mention that this has been going on for whole month. And still calls it a spill in the first two paragraphs.

Not sure how others are reporting.

2. When I looked through the stories on the net a while ago, I did not

see the one month anniversary mentioned. Perhaps later on in the day we will see more mention of this. But where is our great technology? We are not even sure as to what it is after one month. The whole thing is absurd.
